The ElectroPoetics

Summer

(November 2022 - April 2023)

The ElectroPoetics (Bixiao Zhang) is a digital artist and PhD candidate at RMIT University. Zhang's practice-led research, is a fluid entity that she termed “The ElectroPoetics”. Their practice explores the cross-pollination of eco-poetic and post-humanist readings of Emily Dickinson and aspects of Buddhism, and quantum philosophy for guiding performative engagements with the emergent subjectivities of the digital environment.

Their latest projects include group exhibitions and screening at Blindside Mobile, Composite Moving Image, and Footscray Community Art Centre. The ElectroPoetics recently undertook a research residency at Post Humanist Art Network (San Francisco).
