Summer

(October 2019 - January 2020)

Jenna Eriksen is an emerging digital artist from Aotearoa, currently based in Melbourne. Acknowledging the power of vulnerability, Jenna's multidisciplinary practice manifests trauma through personal relationship to landscape. Informed by her own experiences of heartbreak, physical and intergenerational trauma, her abstract landscapes embody a willingness to be vulnerable suggesting an empowered decision to be still, with the intention to succumb to external forces.

Jenna participated in the 2020 Summer Artist-In-Residence program and was mentored by Bridie Lunney. As part of her residency, Jenna exhibited work in LIGHT WINDOWS, a project presented in collaboration with New York's HoloCentre, and is working towards her presenting new work with Centre for Projection Art later this year.
